Welcome to Sterling Notions Ltd. These Terms and Conditions apply when you purchase our TIN-TALES myriorama or other products through our website. By using this website you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these terms – please read them carefully and, if you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this site.
1. Products
Our products are hand-illustrated creative works of art, digitally printed. Please note:
- Colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen.
- Each product is described as accurately as possible, but minor variations may occur due to the nature of artistic materials and printing processes, or changes in the supply chain.
- Some items may be produced in limited runs.
2. Orders
When you place an order:
- You will receive an automated confirmation email.
- A contract is formed only when we accept and dispatch your order.
- We may refuse an order if stock is unavailable, if payment cannot be taken, or if there is an error in pricing or description.
If we are unable to supply a product, we will refund you promptly.
3. Prices and Payment
• All prices are shown in British Pounds Sterling (GBP).
• Prices include VAT where applicable.
• Payments are processed securely through Squareup Europe Ltd.
• We do not store full card details.
We reserve the right to update prices at any time, and to reject any orders which include incorrect prices which may occur due to data entry errors, code errors, hacking, etc.
4. Shipping
We ship to customers in the UK and internationally.
- Delivery charges are displayed at checkout.
- We ship all products using Royal Mail. This usually takes between 1 to 3 days for UK delivery and up to 10 working days for all other orders, this depends on the destination area.
- Shipping times are estimates and may vary due to postal delays or customs processing.
- International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees.
Please check your delivery address carefully as we will not be responsible for delivery to an incorrect address. We will notify you if we expect a significant delay. Once your order has been shipped you are not able to cancel your order.
5. Faulty or Damaged Items
If you purchased your item through our online shop and it arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at info@sterlingsnotions.co.uk within 14 days with your order number, a description of the issue and a photo. We will offer a replacement or refund.
If you purchased your item at or through one of our distributors, please contact them for a replacement or refund.
6. Returns and Refunds
We want you to love your TIN-TALES myriorama, but if something isn’t right here’s how we handle returns and refunds.
For items purchased through our online shop, except where the item is faulty or damaged, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the product to us. Items must be returned to Sterling Notions Ltd, 8 Burnside Road, Invergowrie DD2 5JL, United Kingdom. Please email info@sterlingnotions.co.uk to arrange a returns number before sending.
All returned items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. We can only refund an item in its original unmodified condition if it is returned to us within 21 days of receipt. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. We are unable to issue a refund until the goods are back in our possession. A refund will be issued within 7 working days, subject to delays during busy periods. Refunds will be provided according to the original payment method.
If you purchased the item at or through one of our distributors, please contact them for information about their returns and refund policy – it may be different to ours.
International customers may return items purchased through our online shop, but return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Any customs charges incurred on returns are the responsibility of the sender.

All artwork, designs, text, images, and branding on this site are the intellectual property of Sterling Notions Ltd. TIN-TALES and the Sterling Notions logo are registered trademarks of Sterling Notions Ltd. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute our artwork
- Use product images for commercial purposes
- Create derivative works without permission
8. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for:
- Any loss arising from misuse of our products
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Delays beyond our control (postal, customs, supply chain)
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
