Each set features a themed landscape over 12 cards that can be sensibly arranged in almost half a billion ways, with an accompanying leaflet and thoughtful prompts on the back of each card to encourage storytelling and inspire imagination. Lay the cards side by side to create a landscape that is pleasing or meaningful to you. Add and re-arrange cards to evoke memories and stir imaginations of events or places you have been to or would like to visit. Create a story around your personal selection and sorting of the cards.

Our TIN-TALES are inspired by a concept that originated in France in the early 19th century and was introduced to the UK by John Heaviside Clark. In 1824 he designed a set of illustrated cards that could be used to produce fantastic scenes and stories, which he called a ‘Myriorama’. The word Myriorama comes from the Greek word ‘myrias’ (meaning ‘multitude’ or ‘myriad’) combined with ‘orama’ (meaning ‘view’ or ‘scene).

TIN-TALES are compact and sturdy – throw them in a bag, send them abroad, build a collection
